4.3.1 Manage challenging behaviour
As a pre-service teacher I recognise that in some classrooms, teachers may encounter students who present challenging behaviour/s, or who have presented challenging behaviour/s in the past. Through university led readings plus my experience during practicum, I have become more informed and very aware of the importance of lesson planning, consistency, explicit teaching techniques and confirming the students understanding and knowledge, ensuring they are engaged and occupied in the learning process. The evidence provided for standard 4.3.1 Manage Challenging Behaviour; is an assignment I completed on the subject of behaviour management, it researched the work of seven highly esteemed experts in this field. The journals studied gave explicit examples and methodologies to assist in the management of students displaying behavioural issues.
