5.2.1 Provide feedback to students on their learning
Providing timely, informative, clear and helpful information to students in a format which they can learn and grow from is imperative in the learning process. Attached is a draft of a student’s assignment which was marked a week prior to the final graded copy being due. This gave myself and my mentor teacher the opportunity to assess where each individual students knowledge level was and make effective changes to support their learning requirements before awarding a grade. Additionally, through this process allowed me to reflect on what areas of the teaching process had been successful and not so successful, resulting in trying different methods for different students.
Furthermore, in the classroom setting informal feedback was given regarding their assignment, behaviour and learning. This feedback method is a powerful tool to support the curriculum outcome goals.
